A big thank you to all the volunteers who participated in this years Red Shield Doorknock Appeal.
Despite tough economic conditions Australians have kindly donated nearly $6.3 million during this years doorknock appeal, an increase of 3.4% on 2008 figures. Red Shield Appeal Director Major Gary Masters extended a hearfelt thank-you to all Australians who donated time and money to the appeal stating that the funds were desperatley needed as it has been "a year of massive demand upon our services due to economic factors and natural disasters".
McCoskers own efforts bought in around $400, not bad for an hours work.
