 We are seeking a highly competent CPA / CA to lead, drive and develop the finance and administration aspects of our construction business.  The role requires a strategic commercial, financial and taxation focus.   

The successful applicant will be accountable for : Month end financial reporting and year end accounts preparation, Project costing and reporting, Consolidation and compliance reporting, Taxation returns and reporting including GST, FBT and PAYG, Taxation planning for companies, trusts and joint ventures,   Cashflow management, Fixed Asset management, Corporate investments and financing arrangements, Monitoring financial risk and exposure, Corporate insurances, Supervision of debtor, creditor, payroll and administration functions, Manage and mentor a committed Administration team.

The successful applicant must possess :In depth knowledge and experience in the interpretation and application of Australian Accounting Standards, Understanding of the accounting and tax implications of various business structures including companies, trusts, super funds and joint ventures, A minimum of 10 years experience in a similar senior role with supervisory experience, Experience in the Construction / Contracting industry.

Experienced Earthworks Foreman required for Gladstone and regional based projects.  The successful candidate must  posess experience in a similar role, workplace health and safety licences to operate, experience in supervision and project management, demonstrate a commitment to Health and Safety and will need to undergo a pre-employment medical, including a drug and alcohol screen

 Due to continuing growth we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven track record of delivering outstanding results to drive growth and positioning within the Mining, Construction, Building and Industrial sectors of Queensland.  

This is a key management role which will see you manage key clients and sectors, and to develop well qualified leads. You will be involved with identifying opportunities, developing strategy, managing client and stakeholder engagement, and contributing to tender documents and contract negotiation.

Key role responsibilities include:

·         Identify target markets, clients and projects through research, business connections and networking, economic analysis, commercial assessment, strong promotion of alternative delivery methods and relationship contracting.

·         Development of long term relationships and strategic alliances with clients and partners to maximise potential for future business growth.

·         Identify new business opportunities including major prospects.

·         Prepare and manage professional pre qualification documentation and other expression of interest type submissions.  

To be considered for this role you require:

·         Previous Business Development Experience with a track record of success.

·         Resources infrastructure industry knowledge and background.

·         Client and stakeholder networks within the sector.

·         Experience with submission preparation.

·         Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

·         Strong commercial acumen and understanding.

·         Tertiary qualification in related Engineering or Business discipline will be highly regarded.

·         Experience in project management is also preferable including responsibility for budgets and establishing the suitable commercial framework for project opportunities.
