About the role

Reporting to the Senior Project Engineer and Project Manager, this position is responsible for the project works and engaging with site leaders, the business and other key stakeholders to achieve the projects and business goals.

  • FIFO - Darwin, Cairns & Brisbane
  • Roster - 3 weeks on, 1 week off
  • Meals and Accommodation provided (non locals)
  • Commencement: March 
  • Competitive remuneration and allowances

The Engineering Department is responsible for, but is not limited to:

  • Onsite Safe Operations
  • Quality Control and Reporting
  • Resource allocation
  • Production, budget and schedule tracking
  • Procurement
  • Change Management

This position will:

  • Prepare, schedule, coordinate and monitor the project resources
  • Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
  • Interact daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and represent them in the field
  • Perform overall quality control of the work (budget, schedule, plans, personnel performance) and report regularly on project status
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor site engineering team
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with project manager and other project participants to provide assistance and technical support
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate appropriate corrective actions

To be successful you will have:

  • Degree qualification in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Experience in design and construction projects
  • Knowledge of the Civil Construction Industry
  • Expertise in communication, influencing, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in contributing to project execution
  • Current and valid driver licence 
  • Construction Induction - Blue/ White Card
  • Experience with scheduling and quality control software is preferred
